A lawyer who owes her husband nearly US$1 ($1.27) million has gone missing.

The lawyer, Cynthia Dziurgot, 55, has been missing for weeks after a long, hard-fought divorce ordered her to pay the settlement, and her 21-room Massachusetts home fell into receivership.

Authorities, however, are not concerned. Clinton police chief Mark Laverdure told the Boston Herald they don’t suspect foul play.

Warrants have been issued for her arrest, however, after she failed to appear at bankruptcy and probate hearings this month.
