James Donoghue (pictured) will join the firm’s corporate and commercial team on March 10. This follows a four-year stint as the senior corporate partner in the Perth office of international law firm Holman Fenwick Willan.

He left HFW in April last year to relocate to the east coast and “spend time with family”.

Prior to HFW, Mr Donoghue was seconded to Ashurst’s (then Blake Dawson’s) associated law firm in Indonesia, Soebagjo, Jatim Djarot. He was a partner at Ashurst between 2003 and 2010.

Mr Donoghue has also worked as a corporate lawyer in Argentina, Singapore and other Australian capital cities.

Rigby Cooke recently nabbed workplace relations partner Sam Eichenbaum from M+K Lawyers.
