Shaun McGushin (pictured) has experience in banking, finance, infrastructure and projects across a range of industries in Australia and abroad.

Prior to joining Corrs, Mr McGushin was a partner in Herbert Smith Freehills’ Sydney office.

“We are delighted to have been able to attract a lawyer of Shaun’s capability and experience,” said Ash St.'s chief executive, Peter Keel.

Mr McGushin joins the one-year-old boutique as a principal and director.

“I’m very pleased to have an opportunity to … be a part of a firm on the rise," he said. "The lower overheads and simplified structure [at Ash St.] mean that I can be closer to my clients and offer them better value."

Ash St. was launched in March 2014 by former Maddocks partners Peter Keel and Peter Shaw and former regional counsel at IBM Jason Dixon.
