AN AUSTRALIAN law firm stood out last week at the inaugural Managing Intellectual Property Global awards ceremony in London.

Davis Collison Cave said it consolidated its position as Australia’s leading intellectual property firm in its success at the awards, having been handed an award for Intellectual Property Firm of the Year by the UK journal Managing Intellectual Property (MIP).

The journal compiled its rankings based on a five-month world intellectual property survey, the firm said. As well as compiling its annual rankings for patents and trademarks work, the journal canvassed the market to pinpoint firms, companies and individuals that excelled in intellectual property.

Davis Collison Cave said the firm is honoured to receive the accolade, which, it said, motivates it to set higher benchmarks for the profession.
