Griffith Hack lost Mary Turonek (pictured), Nick Stamatiou and Anja Bartels to the expanding firm.

“We have been approached by a significant number of WA-based clients in recent years … so opening an office in Perth is the logical next step,” managing partner Brett Lunn said. FB Rice also has offices in Sydney and Melbourne.

Ms Turonek has experience in the energy sector and in patent prosecution. Mr Stamatiou’s practice focuses on the oil and gas sectors, but he has also worked in the electrical and software engineering sectors. Both have been appointed as senior associates.

Ms Bartels specialises in information and communications technology, medical devices and renewable energy. She has taken the position of associate at FB Rice.

Griffith Hack also recently lost Melbourne-based partner and principal Andrew Goatcher to Cornwall Stodart.
