The Melbourne-based firm has confirmed to Lawyers Weekly sister title InvestorDaily that it has hired Kate Humphries as general manager of its new NSW operation.

Founded in 1995 by Grant Holley, a former member of the Victorian Bar, and Tim Nethercote – one of Mr Holley’s regular instructing solicitors – the firm specialises in regulatory compliance and commercial disputes for clients in the financial services industry.

Ms Humphries was formerly general manager of Pathway Licensee Services, a consultancy owned by fund manager and financial planning group Netwealth.

In her role at Pathway, Ms Humphries worked with Australian Financial Services Licence holders in compliance training and support, as well as advice on adapting to regulatory change.

Before joining Netwealth, she held compliance officer roles at life insurer Zurich and ANZ-owned Financial Services Partners.

Holley Nethercote also owns and operates an AFSL consulting and training company called Compact.
