Aimee Travis (pictured) most recently acted as in-house counsel and company secretary for Guildford Coal, and before that worked as corporate counsel for the Tinkler Group.

Ms Travis, an alumnus of the University of Newcastle, said she was delighted to return to the city.

“It feels good to be home and I’m excited by the prospect of working on some local projects,” she said.

“I’ve certainly done some interesting deals in recent years and working with the Tinkler Group, and I look forward to the opportunities and variety I know our clients bring to the firm in the region and across the state.”

Ms Travis has experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer, including mergers and acquisitions, takeovers and banking and finance.

“It would be hard to find someone with a greater passion for Newcastle and the region, matched with her breadth of experience over 15 years in the industry,” Newcastle partner Jeremy Kennedy said.
