Mr Keane (pictured) has previously worked as a special counsel at Clyde & Co and K&L Gates.

He has experience with commercial disputes and regulatory issues across Australia and throughout Asia and the South Pacific.

He works across the maritime, logistics, tourism, agribusiness and energy and resources sectors.

“Chris's appointment is another positive step for our firm and demonstrates our commitment to hiring and developing exceptional talent,” said managing partner Adam Bannister.

Minter Ellison SA/NT has made five lateral hires in the past 18 months.

In October, the firm lost two partners to Ashurst.
