Mr Stops joins TressCox Lawyers as a partner in the firm’s Melbourne office from Piper Alderman.

Mr Stops has experience advising corporations and individuals on a wide range of commercial disputes in the building and construction, insurance, banking and finance and property sectors.

He has particular expertise in intellectual property, real estate, insolvency, and defamation matters.

TressCox executive chairman Scott Chapman said: “Andrew’s extensive experience in all aspects of commercial litigation along with his mixed commercial practice is an excellent fit for our Melbourne and national-based clients and we are very pleased he is joining us.”

He added that Mr Stops will be a good addition to the TressCox team, thanks to his strong community involvement and willingness to support deserving not-for-profit organisations.

TressCox Lawyers recently lost partner Andrea Wookey and senior associate Liz Austin, who both joined Kemp Strang.
