Marcus O’Brien will become the 14th partner at Clyde & Co in Australia, which opened with four partners in late 2012.

Mr O’Brien has extensive experience in insurance law and commercial litigation. He has a particular emphasis on financial lines, D&O and professional indemnity claims.

He has worked on large disputes involving complex transactional issues, as well as a number of class actions involving financial products and professional negligence.

Mr O’Brien’s clients include major Australian insurers, London market underwriters, and corporations.

Clyde & Co Australian managing partner John Edmond said of Mr O'Brien's appointment: “His experience and reputation in the market fit perfectly with the firm's key areas of service. He will form the platform of our continued expansion of our insurance capability in Victoria."
