Maddocks has announced the appointment of Shaun Temby (pictured) as a partner in its commercial disputes and franchise and consumer markets practices.

Mr Temby, who has more than 20 years of experience in commercial disputes, will be based in the firm's Sydney office.

He will focus on assisting in the management of disputes for manufacturers, retailers, franchisors and distributors within the FMCG sector.

Norman Lucas, the Maddocks Sydney commercial disputes practice team leader and partner, said: “Shaun is experienced in competition and consumer law advice and litigation, property disputes and contractual disputes, and has previously acted for the ACCC in both NSW and Western Australia.”

He continued: “His broad range of expertise offers clients access to a highly experienced practitioner with a solid track record of delivering quality outcomes.”

Mr Temby has previously worked with Greg Hipwell, who also joined Maddocks from Norton Rose Fulbright earlier this year with Jessica Reid, Elizabeth Stary and Mira Martin.
