Wotton + Kearney appoints new special counsel

Specialist insurance law firm Wotton + Kearney has appointed special counsel Claire MacMillan to its Sydney office.

Ms MacMillan (pictured) previously worked as a senior associate at Colin Biggers & Paisley and as a lawyer at Clayton Utz.

She advises insurers on construction risk, professional indemnity and D&O liability and has also acted in professional indemnity claims brought against valuers by banks, lending institutions and investors.

Ms MacMillan also has experience in commercial litigation, including class actions, and has appeared at commissions and inquiries. She has also defended directors in civil claims or criminal charges.
