Specialising in workplace relations and workplace health and safety, Ms Demarco (pictured) comes from the Clayton Utz Brisbane office where she was a senior lawyer in the workplace relations team.

“Melissa’s focus is on assisting employers to manage their industrial relations and work health and safety compliance. She has previous experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, most recently with a top-tier national firm,” principal Dan Creevey said.

“She has a strong record of delivering practical solutions in complex disputes.”

Ms Demarco has advised clients on matters involving employment, industrial relations and work health and safety issues including anti-discrimination and equal opportunity, unfair dismissal, termination and redundancy, employment contracts and workers compensation.

She is a member of both the Queensland Law Society and the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland.

Creevey Russell Lawyers hired a local family lawyer from rival firm Kennedy Spanner Lawyers earlier this year. Former HWL Ebsworth lawyer Andrew Evans also joined Creevey Russell Lawyers in December last year.
