Ms Norton started her career as a solicitor at Dunhills and has since spent 20 years working in-house at JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, UBS and most recently ANZ.

She will begin her new role as head of legal at JBWere, which is owned by the National Australia Bank Group, on 29 June.

"Lisa brings a wealth of legal, risk and compliance experience to the role, having held a number of senior positions at prominent financial institutions over the past 25 years," said Justin Greiner, the CEO of JBWere.

"This, combined with her strong background in investment banking and private wealth, as well as her deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, will help her make a significant contribution in the role and, importantly, to the JBWere leadership team."

Ms Norton’s appointment rounds out JBWere’s leadership team and positions them well as they look to aggressively grow their business, according to Mr Greiner.
