James Hatzopoulos (pictured) has been made a partner of the Corporate, Commercial and Property practice at Rostron Carlyle. The young lawyer from Sydney has climbed the firm’s ranks since 2014, when he joined Rostron Carlyle as a solicitor.

Mr Hatzopoulos obtained his law degree from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2012.

He said in a statement that partnership with the firm was something he had aspired to early on in his career.

“It has most definitely been a lifelong goal, and to have reached this goal so soon in my career and now standing alongside the other partners of Rostron Carlyle Lawyers is truly an honour,” Mr Hatzopoulos said.

Mr Hatzopoulos, who has experience in servicing the service station and petroleum industry, will manage the corporate, commercial and property practice for Rostron Carlyle in Sydney. He has held a number of senior positions at the firm from the time he joined in 2014.

Partner Gavin McInnes said the new promotion was a strategic step in the firm’s expansion plans for the Sydney region.

“Over recent months, we have been focused on elevating the Rostron Carlyle name across Sydney and the broader NSW legal market.

“James Hatzopoulos has significant experience across a range of industries as well as exceptional knowledge of the NSW legal market,” Mr McInnes said.

Mr Hatzopoulos’ promotion will coincide with the relocation of Rostron Carlyle’s office to Aurora Place building in Sydney’s CBD by the end of March. The firm said it also plans to grow their Sydney legal team.

“My vision, as a partner of the Sydney office, is to both continue to grow and find new ways of growing Rostron Carlyle’s current foothold in the Sydney legal market,” Mr Hatzopoulos said.

“I have no doubt that Rostron Carlyle Sydney will become a force in the legal services sphere, with a highly regarded reputation of ensuring unrivalled service is provided to all clients,” he said.
