Thomas McKeown will work alongside partner Tim Quirk as a specialist in matters before the Planning and Environment Court and Magistrates Court.

Previously a senior associate for Connor O’Meara Solicitors, Mr McKeown’s experience has included acting for local government authorities and private sector clients across residential, commercial and industrial developments.

He has worked on appeals, enforcement proceedings, declaratory proceedings, prosecutions and dispute resolution and is knowledgeable of compulsory acquisition, compensation matters and technical advice work.

Mr McKeown is a member of the planning and environment law committee of the Queensland Law Society.

Commenting on the appointment, Thynne + Macartney’s chairman of partners, Peter Jolly, said the addition of an experienced senior associate within the planning and environment team supports the firm’s growth strategy.

"We are delighted to welcome Thomas to the firm. This appointment further strengthens the firm's planning and environment law offering to our public and private sector clients,” Mr Jolly said.
