ABLA announces new director
Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors (ABLA) has welcomed the arrival of a new director, who joins the workplace and employment team.
Leaving Clayton Utz as a partner after 22 years, Abraham Ash will join the leading workplace and employment team in the Sydney office, expanding the capacity of the team at a director level.

“Abe’s experience and reputation in the industry [are] well known and we are excited to have him join the ABLA family,” ABLA CEO and director Nigel Ward said on the appointment.

Mr Ash has previously advised US-based sports technology and investment company, Zone 5 Ventures, Inc (Zone 5), on its acquisition of Today’s Plan Pty Ltd (Today’s Plan) along with European investment company AXA on the purchase of four Australian Accor hotels from an Abu Dhabi seller.
The strong reputation of the ABLA workplace team was an attraction for Mr Ash, as well as ABLA’s non-traditional structure as an incorporated legal practice.
Mr Ash is one of many that have opted to leave larger firms for the values and operating model that ABLA offers.
