Hunt & Hunt has welcomed a new partner, three special counsel and senior consultant to the firm following its health and financial challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.

NSW managing partner Jim Harrowell AM said that while there will still be an ongoing challenge in NSW as health restrictions are eased and the economy is rebuilt, Hunt & Hunt “remains ready to assist its clients as they re-emerge from the pandemic”.

“We are optimistic about the future and delighted to announce five key changes to our NSW team. It is significant that all staff commenced their legal careers at Hunt & Hunt; these promotions confirm we are committed to providing support and encouragement to all our staff and a career path with the firm,” he said.

New partner Matt Gauci joined Hunt & Hunt as a graduate in 2013 in the litigation and dispute resolution team, which works with private and government clients.

Special counsel Daniel Murray and Anthea Tronson also joined as graduates, in 2015 and 2002 respectively. Special counsel Tim Story started with the firm as a law clerk in 2007 and graduated in 2014, before being promoted to senior associate in 2018.

Senior consultant Ian Miller joined the firm as a clerk in 1976 before rising to managing partner of the Eastwood and North Ryde offices. Following his retirement, he plans to stay on as a senior consultant with the firm.
