CONTINUING THE expansion of its Shanghai presence, Mallesons Stephen Jaques has appointed Martyn Huckerby as a partner.

Huckerby specialises in competition law and telecommunications law and he has advised corporations, private equity firms and financial institutions throughout Australia, Europe and North Asia.

He rejoins Mallesons from Clifford Chance, where he was involved in the development of the China competition group and advising clients on the recently introduced anti-monopoly laws and the EU competition laws. Prior to that, he was a senior associate in Mallesons’ competition team in Sydney.

The firm now has more than 130 legal staff in its greater China practice.
