PLANNING LAW specialist Clem Newton-Brown has returned to the Victorian Bar.

Newton-Brown was a barrister for more than ten years, but moved into private practice at Home Wilkinson Lowry in March last year to set up the firm’s planning practice group in their Melbourne office. His experience also includes a stint as an elected councillor and the Deputy Lord Mayor of Melbourne from 1999 to 2001.

Newtown-Brown said that his return to the bar will enable him to pursue his advocacy practice at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and commit more time to his new role as chair of the legal chapter of the Planning Institute of Australia.
