EXPERIENCED TAX lawyer Richard Snowden has joined Mallesons Stephen Jaques as a partner in the firm’s Sydney office, moving across from Henry Davis York where he headed up the firm’s tax group.

 
 

Snowden comes to Mallesons with more than 24 years’ experience in the application of taxation law in the areas of federal income tax, GST and state taxes. He is highly regarded in the financial services and funds management sectors where he regularly advises on a range of issues including debt and capital raisings, structured and financial products, leasing and hybrid securities. He has also been involved in many large M&A transactions.

He has advised a number of major domestic and foreign corporations across a broad range of industries, and has worked closely with numerous investment banks and fund managers.

Snowden has been recognised as a leading tax adviser by Euromoney’s International Tax Review.
