TRESSCOX LAWYERS has appointed Michael Westaway as a partner in the Melbourne office.

Westaway was previously a partner at Lander and Rogers has more than 15 years’ experience acting in all types of commercial property transactions, including sales and acquisitions, commercial and retail leasing, joint ventures, developments and providing general and strategic advice on a wide variety of property related matters. He also brings to the firm significant experience providing specialist advice to aged-care providers.

Westaway has advised some of Australia’s largest private and public companies, listed property trusts, property developers and aged-care providers across Australia. His appointment will significantly add to the expertise in the Melbourne office’s property and commercial practice, according to Peter Smith, managing partner at TressCox.

“Michael brings with him significant skills and expertise in the property area that will further enhance the continued growth of the Melbourne office and the expansion of our client base,” Smith said in a statement.
