FORMER DLA Phillips Fox lawyer Justine Lloyd has been taken on as a senior associate at Middletons.

 
 

Joining the commercial litigation practice, Lloyd has extensive experience in property litigation and insolvency as well as general litigation. She was admitted in South Australia in 2000 and was made a senior associate in 2004 at Phillips Fox.

Based in Melbourne, Lloyd has acted in a number of commercial litigation disputes, including contractual disputes arising from sale of business, professional negligence claims, trade practices disputes and banking and finance disputes.

She has also acted on various property litigation matters, including acting for the Victorian Government in relation to a dispute regarding the tender and sale of land, acting for a medium-sized business in defending a claim for repudiation of a commercial lease, and individual owners in relation to off-the-plans sales disputes.

Lloyd has worked on a large administration/liquidation matter on behalf of the joint administrators/liquidators, providing advice in relation to preference claims, insolvent trading claims, validity of charges and priority of recoveries pursuant to the Corporations Act. She has also advised clients in relation to provisional liquidation and creditors winding-up.
