NEW ZEALAND firm Hesketh Henry has promoted Sylvia Cheah to the partnership.

 
 

Now a partner in the commercial property team, Cheah is a commercial property specialist dealing in all aspects of commercial property and real estate ventures.

She has 17 years’ experience acting for developers, financiers, local and overseas agents and investors in the New Zealand property market. Cheah specialises in commercial and business law, and has provided sound advice on commercial and business issues, trust asset management, overseas investment and securities to a wide range of mid-market clients.

She is currently the national vice-president of the NZ Malaysia Business Council and the chapter chair of its northern chapter. Cheah is multilingual; she speaks English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and Hokkien (Chinese dialect).
