THE INTELLECTUAL property team of Herbert Geer & Rundle (HGR) has welcomed the promotion of Dean McNamara to senior associate.

A solicitor and registered trade mark attorney with extensive expertise in intellectual property matters, McNamara gained significant experience as a trade marks examiner at IP Australia before joining HGR.

He currently provides advice on intellectual property law, brand protection and commercial transactions to a portfolio of prominent clients.

“Many of our people have experience from outside law firms in the sectors they now serve”, managing partner Bill Fazio said.

“[McNamara] has experience on both sides of the fence in managing trade mark matters, and his time at IP Australia is an invaluable resource for our clients seeking protection for their valuable brands.”
