College of Law has cemented the “perfect partnership” with Clarence Workplaces to deliver collaborative professional development to SME legal firms. The announcement is the first of an ongoing relationship between the two organisations aimed at promoting and implementing online legal education “of the highest calibre”.

Commenting on the partnership, head of short courses James Crittenden said: “Clarence has developed a unique community of small to medium legal firms across the east coast of Australia. Our online education platform, CPD Interactive, was created to offer lawyers a flexible, interactive way to meet their CPD requirements.”

Clarence Workplaces, which oversees more than 590 legal practices, said it made sense to partner with College of Law to deliver important services to members.

This partnership adds to Clarence’s existing arrangements with LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters, LEAP and all law societies in the states it operates in.

Chief executive Tony Jansz said: “Importantly, regional firms can also join Clarence as virtual members, to access our offices and facilities in the CBD, when they need it, and be part of this fantastic new CPD program. It is the perfect solution for SME firms based in regional centres looking for a CBD community to join.”

Also commenting on the partnership, chief commercial officer at College of Law Angie Zandstra said: “The College of Law exists for the purpose of enhancing continued legal education and training for legal practitioners.

“We are delighted to partner with Clarence Workplaces and provide its members with access to a range of courses and programs that enhance professional development.”
