THE BANKING and finance division of Freehills has welcomed Stuart Ure as a new senior associate.

After graduating from Oxford University in 1998 with a BA (Hons), Ure completed a post-graduate law degree at the College of Law in York.

He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2002, and spent two years as an associate in the securitisation team at Clifford Chance LLP, prior to being seconded to the Royal Bank of Scotland.

During his secondment, Ure predominantly worked with the CMBS team in establishing their true-sale European CMBS Programme (EPIC).

In 2006, Ure was appointed a senior associate at Clifford Chance, where he acted on a broad spectrum of transactions, including residential mortgage-backed securitisations, commercial mortgage-backed securitisations, credit card securitisations and collateralised debt obligations.

In January of this year, after more than four years at Clifford Chance, Ure joined Freehills’ Sydney office.
