MELBOURNE FIRM Hall & Wilcox has appointed a partner, special counsel and three senior associates.

Joining the partnership is taxation lawyer Michael Parker. An important contributor to the growth of the taxation practice, Parker has worked at the firm since 1999. He is enthusiastic in his support of junior lawyers, and a prolific speaker and writer on tax matters.

New special counsel Ben Hamilton has expertise in intellectual property and related areas such as trade practices, IT and contracts. He will soon complete a Masters in intellectual property law.

The three new senior associates are Melissa Macrae of the insurance team, Funda Yalcin of financial services, and Desiree Krigsman, of dispute resolution and litigation.
