UK-based digital law firm arch.law has launched a new sports agency practice, appointing a leading sports lawyer alongside four new team members to drive its strategic expansion.
Arch.law has launched a new sports agency that offers athletes a blend of “representation, commercial guidance, and legal expertise” aimed at protecting and advancing sporting careers.
The UK-based law firm confirmed that arch.law sports will operate under the arch.law brand, with the new division positioned to deliver a “genuinely full-service model” for athletes, clubs, and organisations across the sporting landscape.
In a statement, the digital law firm expressed that its offering spans from “contract negotiation and regulatory compliance to sponsorship, image rights, immigration and dispute resolution, the team delivers solutions that protect careers, build value and unlock opportunities”.
Arch.law sports will operate through a network of collaboration hubs already established in Brisbane, Newcastle, Perth, and Sydney.
To support this strategic expansion, Paddy Moylan – described by the firm as one of “Australia’s most experienced sports lawyers” – has joined arch.law sports, alongside four other appointments.
In a statement, the UK-based law firm highlighted that Moylan will bring extensive “governance and board-level” sporting expertise to the newly established team.
Moylan’s credentials include serving as an Olympic board member, inaugural chair of the Southern Districts Cricket Zone, and assistant commissioner at Cricket NSW.
He has also acted as a tribunal and judiciary member for sporting bodies and sits on several advisory groups across sport and the community.
Speaking about the new role, Moylan highlighted that the sports agency is dedicated to supporting athletes at every stage of their careers, across all disciplines.
“This is about giving male and female athletes at every stage the support they deserve. We’re creating an agency that understands the demands of sport but also the risks – whether that’s a Hyrox competitor building their profile, a footballer entering the professional arena, or a rugby league player managing a cross-border move,” Moylan said.
“With arch.law behind us, we can give athletes the same level of professionalism and trusted advice that’s usually reserved for the very top tier.”
Arch.law sports has announced four additional appointments who will be based across its six UK hubs: Richard Cramer, joining from Front Row Legal; Alexander Grantham, a FIFA-licensed and FA-registered sports agent; and Zak Leech and Harry Leaitherland, both of whom are working towards FIFA accreditation.
