Recognised twice in a row as a finalist for the Senior Associate of the Year (SME Law) category at the Women in Law Awards, Chelsea Baker has now taken the leap to establish her own firm.
After more than a decade in the legal profession, succession law specialist Chelsea Baker (pictured) has taken the leap to establish her own Brisbane-based firm, Baker Hastings Lawyers.
In this new venture, Baker will spearhead the firm in a dual capacity, serving as both principal lawyer and legal practitioner director.
The firm aims to provide clients with expert guidance across estate planning, administration, and succession-focused disputes.
Before founding her own firm, Baker developed her career at some of Queensland’s leading law firms, collaborating closely with accredited specialists and senior practitioners.
She served as a senior associate at Cornford-Scott Lawyers for a year after spending over four years in the same role at Mullins.
Acknowledged for her outstanding legal practice, Baker was named a finalist for Lawyers Weekly Women in Law’s Senior Associate of the Year (SME Law) in back-to-back years.
In addition to her new firm, Baker is a board member of the STEP Queensland Limited Board and a committee member of the Queensland Law Society succession law policy committee.
Speaking on this milestone, Baker shared that the launch of her firm is about delivering exceptional results for clients while creating opportunities for the next generation of legal talent.
“Launching Baker Hastings Lawyers is about delivering high-quality and solution-focused outcomes for clients, while also opening doors for the next generation of lawyers,” Baker said.
