Melbourne- and Sydney-based boutique firm Burch&Co has added a commercial senior associate, an associate, and two law graduates.
Senior associate Eruera Harry-Reading has been appointed by Burch&Co to co-lead the commercial team, where he will take responsibility for leading, mentoring and supervising lawyers and support staff.
Harry-Reading was previously a senior lawyer at a corporate and commercial firm in Auckland, and spent some time lending his expertise and commercial instinct to a film production company.
In his new role at Burch&Co, Harry-Reading will be at the forefront of preparing, reviewing and negotiating agreements, leases, licenses, and terms and conditions, and advocate for clients in negotiations.
He will also serve as the resident subject matter expert for commercial document review and drafting, supporting the corporate transactions team with due diligence, and play an active role in shaping culture.
“I am looking forward to adding value to our fantastic clients as well as the amazing team at Burch&Co,” Harry-Reading said.
“Helping people and doing good things is incredibly important to me, and this new role gives me that opportunity.”
Accomplished lawyer Stephanie Elliott has also been appointed to Burch&Co’s commercial team to maintain service delivery in response to a 45 per cent increase in work volumes in 2025.
Caitlin Vippond and Bailey Webb have joined the graduate program.
The firm said they represent the next generation of legal talent at Burch&Co, and it is looking forward to supporting their development.
Nich Burch, director of Burch&Co, extended a warm welcome to Harry-Reading, Elliott, Vippond and Webb, “and looks forward to the bright figures ahead for each of them at Burch&Co”.
“We are thrilled to be growing our team with such talented individuals and look forward to the fresh energy and expertise they will each bring to Burch&Co and our clients,” Burch said.
