Estrin Saul Lawyers and Migration Specialists has promoted practice leader Munashe Rusamo (pictured, second from the left, back) to director of the firm. He commenced at the firm as a lawyer and immigration adviser in January 2021 and has worked his way up to associate, senior associate, acting practice leader (health, disability, and protection), practice leader, and now director of the firm.

Rusamo is the current chair of the administrative and migration law committee for the Law Society of Western Australia and is a committee member for the Law Society of Western Australia’s young lawyers committee.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Rusamo holds a bachelor of laws (honours) and a bachelor of politics, philosophy, and economics from the Australian National University and commenced a master of laws at the University of Melbourne in November 2025 and is scheduled for completion in November 2029.

In addition, the firm announced that Rusamo and practice leaders Jasmin Angel-Latch, Shaun Wyn-Jones, Nicole Farrar, and Matt Ng have been appointed shareholders to the firm for the first time.

Managing partner and co-founder Reuben Saul said the changes reflect the firm’s broader role in shaping the future of the profession, and the introduction of equity for practice leaders reinforces the firm’s focus on long-term development and career pathways.

“This is an incredibly exciting moment for our firm. These are leaders who have played a key role in our growth, and it was important to recognise that contribution in a meaningful and lasting way. What we are building now is a natural extension of the foundation Daniel [Estrin] and I have established over the past 12 years,” Saul said.

“As a specialist immigration law firm, we see it as our responsibility to contribute to the future of the profession – creating real opportunities for emerging leaders and setting a standard for how firms can support and develop talent.”

“We want our people to see a clear pathway forward. Not just in terms of progression, but in having a genuine sense of ownership in what they are building. We know this is what drives engagement and ultimately better outcomes for our clients.”

The new structure will further enhance the firm’s client service delivery, strengthening its capability, consistency, and overall offering, the firm said. Estrin Saul Lawyers was founded in 2014 and practices in immigration law with offices in Perth and Adelaide.

The firm was the winner of the Boutique Law Firm of the Year category in Lawyers Weekly’s Australian Law Awards 2019.

Lawyers Weekly previously reported on the firm’s appointment of three accredited specialists in December 2024, its promotion of a senior associate to practice leader in July 2024, its appointment of a new special counsel in February 2024, and the promotion of two lawyers to practice leader and special counsel, respectively, in August 2023.
