West Australian boutique firm Stork Davies has expanded its presence by opening a second office in the Perth metropolitan area.
Stork Davies has strengthened its physical presence in Western Australia with the opening of a second office in Fremantle’s historic West End.
Until now, the boutique firm has operated exclusively from Perth’s CBD since its establishment in 2015.
Through the opening of its second office, the firm signalled that the expansion places it as “one of only a few” West Australian commercial law practices with a physical presence in both Perth and Fremantle.
Its new Fremantle office is based in the heritage-listed Fremantle Chamber of Commerce building on Phillimore Street, a 150-year-old landmark in the heart of the port city’s civic and business district.
In a statement, Stork Davies indicated that this decision is underpinned by both strategic opportunity and longstanding personal ties to the area, noting that the Davies name has featured in Fremantle’s civic and commercial history for generations.
Michael Stork, managing principal of Stork Davies, shared that establishing a presence in Fremantle was an important step, with the firm viewing the city as being in a period of growth and renewal and seeing increasing demand for specialist legal services.
“We feel that Freo is on the up, and that there are opportunities for us to add real value to the ongoing development and revitalisation of the city,” Stork said.
The Western Australia-based boutique firm provides specialist legal services across property, commercial, and litigation matters, advising clients on a range of transactional and dispute-related issues.
The move has been welcomed by the operator of the heritage building, with Chamber of Commerce CEO Chrissie Maus saying the arrival of a respected legal practice strengthens the precinct’s professional services base and reflects continued confidence in Fremantle’s economic outlook.
“It is always exciting to see respected professional firms choosing to invest in Fremantle, particularly within the heart of our CBD,” Maus said.
“Their presence further strengthens the depth of professional capability within the city, and reflects the continued confidence businesses have in Fremantle’s future.”
