Two Herbert Smith trainees were apparently reprimanded after they were caught getting a little too friendly at a firm party.

According to rollonfriday.com, the real estate team of Herbert Smith threw a "get to know you" party for trainees and provided a trolley full of alcohol to enhance the mingling process.

One couple got to know each other especially well, and according to different reports, the couple became extra special friends in an adjoining room while other rumours claim they drank all the booze from the trolley and did the deed in the empty trolley.

Rollonfriday.com says the firm declined to comment or confirm exactly what did happen between the couple (Folklaw doesn't really want to know the gory details) but according to insiders, the couple were presented in front of a disciplinary committee.

A spokesperson for Herbert Smith said the firm "takes all issues relating to the conduct of our staff very seriously and will always investigate and take appropriate action as necessary".
