An American banker is suing her former employer, Citibank, for firing her because she is too good-looking.

Above the Law reports the modest Debrahlee Lorenzana is suing on the grounds of wrongful termination, which she believes was executed because her employers found her "too hot" and therefore distracting to other employees merely trying to do their jobs whilst having to look at Lorenzana's self-proclaimed extremely attractive self.

Amongst other things, Lorenzana alleges that her bosses made concerted efforts to render her less attractive by asking her to stop wearing pencil skirts, three-inch heels or fitted and flattering-to-the figure

suits. Lorenzana alleges she pointed out that other women in the office wore far more revealing clothing, but was told "those women's shapes are different" and that she "drew too much attention."

Needless to say, Citibank is "vigorously" denying the claims, though has not revealed the reasons for Lorenzana's termination.

Folklaw thinks either Citibank is living in the dark ages and should be taken to the cleaners, or Lorenzana has a severe case of excess self-appreciation.
