According to reports emerging from the mid-north coast haven, drug detection dogs were called in on Tuesday morning (3 August) to snuffle 11 people hanging around the courthouse.

Apparently, police had suspicions that a significant amount of people were using drugs outside court, particularly on hearing days.

"The lesson is clear - drug possession will lead to serious criminal charges," said Police Commander York in a statement on Tuesday.
