If Folklaw didn't know better, it would say that Minter Ellison has perhaps learned a thing or two from its recent brush with being ripped off by one of its own.

The firm - which last year brought to light the fact its CFO of 10 years in South Australia and the Northern Territory, Craig Raneberg, had been pilfering partner funds to the tune of what could be a couple of million dollars - has just installed a brand new financial and practice management platform across the two non-integrated offices.

Elite 3E, "powered" by IntApp Integration Builder, is being rolled out by the firm in order to be more "innovative".

"Our firm is always on the lookout for advanced, innovative technologies that can maximise operational efficiency, lawyer productivity and client service," said Michael Veasey, the firm's director of technology services, in a press release issued by IntApp.

Apparently, IntApp offers pre-built templates to expedite integration with existing law firm applications, such as document management and records management systems.

While Folklaw isn't even pretending to understand all the tech-speak outlined in IntApp's press release, here's hoping this system works a little better than the one in place during Raneberg's reign ...
