After merging with the Melbourne-based insurance boutique Monahan + Rowell on June 1 and acquiring six new partners in the process, Colin Biggers & Paisley (CBP) has now promoted five of its lawyers.
After merging with the Melbourne-based insurance boutique Monahan + Rowell on June 1 and acquiring six new partners in the process, Colin Biggers & Paisley (CBP) has now promoted five of its lawyers.
Damian Clancy and Kate Devenish were promoted to senior associates in the insurance group in Melbourne.
Jennifer Irwin was promoted to senior associate in the construction & engineering group in
Sydney, and Bianca Slabacu was promoted to the same level in the insurance group in Sydney.
The promotions took effect yesterday (1 July).
The merger with Monahan + Rowell saw CBP gain new partners Patrick Monahan; Mark Attard; Mary Edquist; Vanessa Kemp; Andrew Probert and Mark White.
CBP also acquired two new partners as lateral hires - Cathryn Prowse in Melbourne and Adrian Howie in Sydney.
Since then the firm has added a senior associate in the commercial dispute resolution group, Bernadette Carey, who does general contractual and commercial work and is a specialist in trusts and estates litigation.
Before coming to work for CBP, Carey was in the Cayman Islands from 2008 to 2011, at a firm called Conyers Dill & Pearman.
