Silks and judges to speak at Melbourne Conference

Keith Mason QC, the former president of the NSW Court of Appeal, heads a list of prominent legal speakers at the Supreme Court of Victoria Commercial law Conference next month (10 December).

Mason will be addressing the topic of Remedies for breach of fiduciary duties: Lessons from two recent mega-cases - Grimaldi and Bell Resources.

Justices Marcia Neave and James Judd from Victoria will also be providing comment and chairing this session, respectively.

Herbert Smith Freehills partner Ken Adams will be speaking on class actions, while Stephen McLeish SC will be providing comment on the topic of Western Export Services Inc v Jireh International Pty Ltd and the use of extrinsic material.

Justice Kim Hargrave from the Supreme Court of Victoria and Joseph Santamaria QC will also be speaking at the Conference.

The Conference will be held at the Banco Court, Supreme Court of Victoria.
