CORRS Chambers Westgarth has hired a Mallesons Stephen Jaques banking and finance expert to its ranks.

Brad Robinson joins Corrs as partner, and will join the firm’s Melbourne office from Mallesons.

Robinson is an experienced banking and finance and debt capital markets lawyer, Corrs said this week.

He has a broad banking and finance practice acting for borrowers, financiers, arrangers, sponsors and other market participants in relation to securities offerings in the international and domestic debt capital markets, project and infrastructure finance and corporate and acquisition finance transactions.

His experience also includes more than four years in London practicing in the debt capital markets, securitisation and acquisition finance areas.

Robinson previously advised on some notable Australian PPP projects, including the Victorian Desalination project, Peninsula Link project, SA Schools project, Royal North Shore Hospital project and Royal Children’s Hospital project.

He also advised Adelaide Airport on its A$235m secured medium term note issue and buy-back and exchange offer for existing credit wrapped notes.

Touting the new hire, Corrs notes Robinson has previously advised AMP Capital Wholesale Office Fund on the establishment of a secured medium term note program and issue of A$250m secured notes under it.

He also advised Telstra on its London Stock Exchange listed global debt issuance program and various other Australian and offshore issuers in relation to their Australian medium term note programs.
