Scott Charaneka will moved from Sydney to take the job.

The firm said Charaneka has expertise in the establishment, licensing, administration, distribution, disclosure, compliance and claims matters associated with superannuation, funds management and life insurance.

Before Norton Rose, Charaneka worked in-house at Legal & General and ING.

“In recent years, HWL Ebsworth has steadily expanded its financial services offering through lateral recruitment and organic growth,” said Juan Martinez, Managing Partner of HWL Ebsworth.

Martinez said the new recruit is one of Australia's most highly regarded superannuation, funds management and life insurance lawyers.
