The free app offers a ‘barrister availability’ request service and unlimited access to resources, seminars and papers.

John Kelly, CEO of Foley’s List, said that the increased functionality that the app brings will allow solicitors to save time and access information when and where they want.

“I’ve personally found that it’s often when you are away from the office that you want to look up a specific barrister. Without the proper tools it becomes an arduous task,” said Kelly, adding that the app was developed to meet the needs of solicitors in the digital age.

The app offers access to the core items available on Foley’s List’s website, including the complete barrister register, which is searchable by name, area of practice and level of experience.

Users are able to search and view profiles of barristers and request their availability, as well as access PDFs and videos detailing key legislative changes, local government updates and recent industry developments.

“This app is an extension of the services that we currently offer at our William Street office, on our website and over the phone, and we’re excited to be the only list in Australia to offer it,” said Kelly.

The app is available for free for iPhones and iPads from the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/foleys/id567316265?mt=8 or www.foleys.com.au.
