Heard joins Hyder from Thiess John Holland and Brisbane’s Airport Link project, where she gained expertise in providing legal advice on major infrastructure projects.

Stephen Uhr, Hyder’s commercial director, welcomed Heard to the engineering consultancy firm, which plans, designs and manages the development of water, property, highways, rail, defence and telecommunications infrastructure.

“I am looking forward to working with our clients and the wider Hyder team on a range of projects covering the various sectors, including transport and infrastructure, property, environment, water and resources,” said Heard.

Heard has worked in the construction and infrastructure industry for the last nine years. Her experience includes stints at United Group Infrastructure, Stockland Development and Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

She will provide advice on the full range of legal issues applicable to organisations working within the consulting industry in Australia, including contract drafting and negotiation, dispute resolution, occupational health and safety, property, human resources, insurance, community relations and the environment.
