National IP firm Wrays has appointed Dr Daniel Wadsworth as an associate in its Perth office.

Wadsworth has worked at a number of top-tier firms over the last 10 years. He has a diverse range of private practice experience in Australia and New Zealand commercial markets.

He has experience in professional engineering and design from working in the aerospace and medical device industries. Lately, he has gained experience in Australian design law by pursuing design rights for original styles for a major clothing brand.

Wadsworth is primarily focused in the general mechanical space; however, he has advised in areas such as mass spectrometry, mechatronic/automation, food processing, medical devices and communications.

Wrays CEO Frank Hurley commented on Wadsworth’s appointment:

“Dan’s acute commercial sense and strong technical credentials will make him a great asset

“He has a huge appreciation for the significance of innovation for commercial success, and the importance of clear and focused intellectual property protection strategies.”
