HSF partner Sarah Kenny (pictured) was the first female director ever elected to the board of Yachting Australia when she landed that role in 2010.

Kenny competed in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles in the windsurfing demonstration event and was a member of the selection panel for the Australian Olympic Sailing team that took part in last year’s Olympics in London.

She is also a member of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Events Committee and Women's Forum.

Kenny is a leading sports lawyer and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

She has also passed on her love of sport to her sons, who are also keen sailors.

One of Yachting Australia’s newly-elected directors also has a background in the law.

Rosemary Collins, who was elected to Yachting Australia’s board at the recent AGM, is a legal counsel at Telstra.

She has competed for more than 15 years in local, state, national and international events, trains and mentors younger sailors and has also acted as a judge at numerous world championships.
