Cristean Yazbeck (pictured) started the new role last week (3 February). He will focus on Future of Financial Advice (FOFA) and Stronger Super reforms, managed investment schemes, Significant Investor visas and Australian Financial Services and Registrable Superannuation Entity licensing.

Yazbeck will also work closely with Peter Bobbin, Rockwell Olivier’s managing principal in Sydney, and John Ridgway, managing principal (International), to support the delivery of financial services legal work for the firm’s corporate, tax and Argyle Private teams.

Ridgway commented on Yazbeck’s approach to client service.

“Cristean has a warm and open communications style which I know our clients are going to appreciate, as will our own growing corporate and international business team,” he said.

This is the second high-level appointment for Rockwell Olivier this month.

The firm recently recruited Altus Financial director and former Ernst & Young partner, Morris Maroon, to lead the firm’s tax practice in Sydney.

The Rockwell Olivier group has 24 principals and 80 other fee earners.
