Adams was a partner at Lavan for three years prior to joining HFW, and was a senior associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth prior to that. He specialises in commercial and competition law in the energy sector, and has been involved in drafting and negotiating the gas transport arrangements for major natural gas pipelines.
Brown also specialises in competition and regulatory law, particularly in relation to energy & resources infrastructure. She has provided advice on issues relating to gas, electricity, rail and water regulation.
Prior to the departures of Adams and Brown, Lavan had boosted its energy & resources practice in Perth with two partner hires. Ex-King & Wood Mallesons partner Daniel Kirk joined Lavan’s corporate services practice in February. The firm also hired litigation partner James Steedman in January from boutique firm Karp Steedman Ross-Adjie, which closed its doors in December.
HFW is a global firm with offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
