Brett Feltham (pictured) starts his new role at DLA today (7 April). He had previously been a partner in Hunt & Hunt’s Employment and Workplace Relations group, and a special counsel at PricewaterhouseCoopers prior to that.

The well-regarded employment lawyer specialises in cross-border employment arrangements and the employment and securities law aspects of executive remuneration and employee equity. He also advises clients on a range of strategic employment matters, including C-level terminations.

Feltham’s appointment follows a series of defections from DLA in 2014.

Most recently, real estate partner Tony Butler left DLA to join mid-tier firm Mills Oakley in Brisbane last week (1 April).

The global firm lost another high-profile partner in Brisbane last month (21 March). Litigation lawyer Andrew Forbes defected to Lander & Rogers and launched the firm’s new Brisbane digs today (7 April).

Meanwhile, in Melbourne, DLA dropped equity capital markets, M&A and private equity partner Simon Davidson in February. Davidson started a new firm called Hive Legal along with ex-Minter Ellison partner Mitzi Gilligan.
