Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) has pinched DibbsBarker partner Ian Taylor to join as a partner in its Sydney office.

Taylor’s (pictured) role in the London-based global firm will focus on transactional and dispute resolution matters in the construction, infrastructure, mining, engineering and public works sectors throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific.

“This (construction) is an area where we see considerable opportunity and we are continuing to invest in the capabilities of our team,” said Nick Longley, the head of the firm’s Asia-Pacific construction group.

Taylor was a partner at Dibbs for just over six years.

In the past month, HFW poached Norton Rose Fulbright partner Leigh Borrello, with NRF in turn taking Hazel Brasington from HFW’s Melbourne office

HFW’s Perth’s office also nabbed two energy partners from Lavan Legal in March.

HFW has offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
