Minter Ellison has picked up their third new partner in three months with Jeremy Rees joining the firm today (15 September).

Rees was formerly a partner at Fox Tucker and will now join the Minters South Australia/Northern Territory corporate team.

He has experience advising on corporate and commercial transactions, tax and duty law, and the establishment and operation of trusts.

Minter Ellison’s SA/NT managing partner Adam Bannister (pictured) said, "Jeremy is a welcome addition to the firm, bringing capabilities that will round out our overall corporate service offering."

Last month Lawyers Weekly exclusively revealed that Fox Tucker was merging with Donaldson Walsh Lawyers.

Minters recently appointed Herbert Smith Freehills’ chief operating officer Janet Young in the same role and lost Dr Richard Dammery to Woolworths.

This morning (15 September), it was also announced that the former chief executive partner of Minters, John Weber, would be the new head of DLA Piper in Australia.
